KUWAIT: Jahra police patrols rescued an Asian woman from two unidentified people who kidnapped her and attempted to rape her under a tunnel by the Sixth Ring Road. On routine patrol of the Sixth Ring Road, police officers noticed a car parked in the tunnel, which aroused their suspicions. When the kidnappers and rapists saw the police patrol car, they ran away. The Asian woman told police officers that the two men had kidnapped her from the Hawalli area and driven her to that place to rape her. The woman was referred to the police station to further investigate the situation.
Baby girl dies mysteriously in Ahmadi

KUWAIT: Security forces have mounted a thorough investigation into the mysterious death of a newborn baby girl in the Ahmadi area. It has been reported that the baby was taken to Fahd AlÜAhmad clinic by her father, an unemployed citizen, for medical examination only for doctors to discover that the baby was already dead. The remains of the baby were taken over to the Forensic Department for an autopsy. Investigations are under way to unravel the mystery behind the tragic death.
Expat attempts suicide in Sulaibikhat

KUWAIT: Sulaibikhat security officers assisted by Sulaibikhat firefighters foiled a suicide attempt by a drunk Indian national, who surrounded himself with some tires and set them on fire in an attempt to kill himself. A reliable security source said: "A motorist noticed the suicide attempt near the Central Prison and informed police, who rushed to the location and rescued the drunk expatriate. While interrogating him at the police station, the officers discovered that he had recently suffered a difficult situation back home and believed that he could not go on with his life anymore."
Buses cause accidents on Sixth Ring Road

KUWAIT: Sixth Ring Road was the scene of two accidents caused by public buses. A man driving a small car suffered serious injuries when he hit a public bus after the bus driver lost control of his vehicle and hit the barrier and then stopped at the middle of the road. The man was taken to the hospital by a fellow citizen to seek medical assistance. Ten minutes later, another bus driver repeated the same scenario of the first accident except as he hit the barrier he also hit a small car. The car driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital to seek medical assistance. The two buses caused serious traffic congestion but police officers managed to move them to the side of the road and continue the traffic flow.
Indian run over at Abdullah Port

KUWAIT: A Pakistani driver ran over an Indian national on Tuesday near the Abdullah Port. After operation room received a phone call informing them of the accident, police officers rushed to the scene where they found the Indian man dead. Forensic police examined the dead body and referred it to the mortuary. Police officers arrested the Pakistani driver and referred him to Abdullah Port Police Station.
Thief referred to Public Prosecution

KUWAIT: Interrogator Fahed AlÜMikimi from Zoor Police Station has referred a thief named Juhair to the Public Prosecution for being charged with stealing a car that belonged to a Kuwaiti citizen. The thief had been arrested by patrol police on King Fahed Road heading Kuwait City when he was trying to steal the car.
