KUWAIT: Police received a tipÜoff about the promiscuous activities of four men and three girls in the Salmiya area. Undercover police watched the suspects as they got together a flat on Thursday evening. Loud music and noises were coming from the flat and undercover police gave the signal and the flat was immediately raided. The seven suspects were taken into police custody. In a similar incident, an Arab woman was arrested and charged with prostitution. Police officers were alerted to the woman''s illegal activity and subsequently an undercover police was sent to investigate the mater. He found the woman charging 30 Kuwaiti dinars for sexual favors. The woman was arrested and taken into police custody. Meanwhile, local residents in Sabah AlÜSalem alerted police of the presence of a neighbor who is in the habit of playing loud music which disturbed the entire neighborhood. Police initially suspected some sort of late night party but when the officers raided the flat after repeated calls to open the door, they found the man in a total state of intoxication. The source of the loud music was a TV program which he was enjoying and listening to while drinking. The man and his bottle were taken into police custody.
Bike accidents on Gulf Road

KUWAIT: The Salmiya area and Gulf Road witnessed several motorbike accidents this weekend. A Bedouin man suffered injuries after his motorbike overturned and he was rushed to Mubarak Hospital to seek medical assistance. Another Bedouin suffered serious injuries after a pickup truck hit his motorbike on the Gulf Road near the Shaab AlÜBahari area. The man was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mubarak Hospital. Meanwhile, two citizens sustained injuries after their motorbike overturned and they were rushed to hospital to seek medical assistance.
Citizens, expats injured in various car accidents

KUWAIT: Due to a serious car accident which occurred on the Fifth Ring Road heading to Jahra near the Surra area, six citizens, two Sudanese parents and their son, as well as an Iranian female, sustained serious injuries. It was reported that a citizen lost control of his speeding car and hit another other car which overturned. The injured were rushed to Mubarak Hospital by ambulance to seek medical assistance. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a citizen suffered serious injuries after his car overturned near a roundabout located in the Abdullah AlÜMubarak area. After the operation room received a phone call informing them that a citizen had a car accident and was trapped within his vehicle, police officers and fire brigades rushed to the scene. Firefighters from the Jleeb AlÜShuyoukh Fire Station, lead by First Lieutenants Mishari AlÜTourah and Bader AlÜKandari, managed to rescue the man from the wreckage. The man was taken to Farwaniya Hospital by paramedics to seek medical assistance.
Egyptian steals gold bracelets

KUWAIT: Hawalli police officers arrested an Egyptian who stole six gold bracelets from one of the jewelry shops in Hawalli. The salesperson in a jewelry shop alerted the police to an Egyptian man who pretended to be seeking to purchase some gold bracelets. When the salesperson presented him with the gold items, the Egyptian grabbed them immediately and ran off. The Description of the thief was given to police officers and within a few minutes they managed to arrest him. Police investigators found that the suspect had entered the country illegally recently.
Major crackdown across country

KUWAIT: Security forces launched a major clampdown on residency law violators and fugitives across the country this weekend, leading to several arrests. Two citizens were arrested for being in possession of drugs while five others were arrested for their involvement in unidentified civil cases. Meanwhile, two Asian nationals were rounded up for their involvement in criminal cases and were accordingly referred to the concerned authorities. Moreover, nine unidentified expatriates were arrested in Hawalli during a surprise raid for violating the country''s residency laws, while 16 were arrested in Farwaniya for the same reason.
Thieves abduct Asian, steal cash at gun point

Kuwait: An Asian expatriate was abducted and robbed of 700 Kuwaiti dinars at gunpoint by unidentified thieves in the Jleeb AlÜShuyoukh area. After robbing him, they dropped him in Sulaibikhat. Security sources said that the Asian was surprised while walking in Jleeb when three men got out of their car and forced him into the vehicle, where they robbed him of KD 700 at gun point. He was left in Sulaibikhat after being physically beaten.A case was filed and police are searching for the thieves.
